Look Effectts Inc producer visual effects fo feature films. 3 Degrees has a 42Mb quicktime reel of 3D game environments, feature film effects, and video wall productions. Moving media creates promotional animation and CG effects for feature films. CAFEFX (part of The Syndicate) creates vidual effects for feature films. ANIMAX creates entertaining character animations. eightVFX demonstrates some very clever effects for commercial and music videos and feature films. The a52 visual effects portfolio has 190 separate examples. Custom Film Effects (select out work/"View the reel") produces those green screen effects of which the movie viewer is unaware. Multimedia Networking and Education in Orange County

Along with it's strong presense of medical and electronics industries, Orange County has a considerable amount of Multimedia Production activity, evidenced by large number of local companies listed in this directory.

 A number of these companies are member of an affiliation of professionals and interested newcomers, who recently celebrating the 20th aniversary of the Orange County Multimedia Association OCMMA.org , in addition to the monthly metting of the entire group, there are various special interest groups meeting monthly, including: Digital Video SIG, OC Flash, OC ColdFusion User's Group, Internet SIG.

 Gary Birch a multi term president of the OCMMA has moved on to the positon of Hero and Dean of Visual Communications at the prestigous Laguna College of Art & Design, the college is equipped with a 3D rendering farm more powerful than most commercial facilitie's. 

A newer group is the Media Communications Association of Orange County, it has monthly meeting in Irvine where members with a variety of interests discuss the information revolution,  members and meeting agendas may be found on the meetup group , see more on their web site.

 Chapman University of Orange offes several undergraduate degrees related to the Film and Television production industry. Located 35 miles from Hollywood, movie business professionals are regular guest. Their Digital Arts program exposes students to state of the art software and equipment, including a live action motion capture stage.

Another institution for learning media, with perhaps more of a junior college / trade school atmosphere including general education subjects to round out one's education is The Art Institute of California — Orange County in Santa Ana. The school offers degrees in the Arts, including AS degree programs in Digital Photography and Web Design & Interactive Media, and Bachelor programs in Game Art & Design, Media Arts & Animation, Visual & Game Programming, Visual Effects & Motion Graphics, and Web Design & Interactive Media.

 J Curve Tech Acadamy is a new multimedia oriented school located in North Orange County with both major course "paths" and short course adult education classes, addressing Video, Digital Art / Animation, Architectural, Photography & Design and Interactive Design.

Orange County Multimedia Association (OCMMA) is a non profit organization whose aim is to promote multimedia arts and technologies. It is also engaged in educating and informing the community about effects of multimedia on the lives and professions of common man.

The Orange County Multimedia Association (OCMMA) was formed in 1987 and has contributed to the emergence and development of the multimedia industry in Orange County. The organization is involved in serving the new media entrepreneurs, industry managers, creative designers and content producers. OCMMA serves the professionals through a number of ways such as promoting the capabilities, services and products of the members. It develops strong collaborations between government, education, business, and interactive communities. Also OCMMA tries to link companies, enterprise partners, customers, and application specialists. Apart from these it educates about multimedia and its developing technology, tools, market dynamics and resources.

The Orange County Multimedia Association (OCMMA) organizes Special Interest Group meeting or General Meeting almost every week for their purpose of furthering the knowledge about multi-media.
